Gumla (Jharkhand) [India] November 10 : Launching scathing attack on opposition, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said Congress and its allies "can't see Adivasis on top," and have kept Jharkhand backward.
.Addressing a rally in Gumla in run up to the Jharkhand Assembly election, PM Modi admired the talent diligence, honesty and leadership of tribals. "This is the reason that there are a lot of Adivasi ministers in the BJP government," the PM said
He further reminded the public that Congress "tried its best" to not let tribal daughter Droupadi Murmu become the President of India, and still continues to insult her. The PM said former Jharkhand chief minister Champai Soren was also insulted.
"We should not forget how Congress treated President Droupadi Murmu. Congress tried their best to not let 'Adivasi beti' win. Even today they don't hesitate to disrespect the President. The truth is that Congress and their allies can't see Adivasis on top. What happened with Champai Soren is an example of it," PM Modi said.
"JMM-Congress kept Jharkhand backward. BJP made Jharkhand the centre of big schemes initiated for nation's development," PM Modi added
PM Modi further listed the schemes launched by the NDA government from Jharkhand, these schemes include Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana; The scheme facilitates micro credit/Loan up to Rs 10 lakhs to income generating micro enterprises, and Ayushman Bharat Yojana; the scheme aims to provide free access to health insurance coverage for low income earners.
"{We had launched 'MUDRA yojana from Dumka not Delhi. We had launched Ayunshman Yojana that provided Rs 5 lakh for free treatment from Jharkhand," PM Modi said.
"We have also started the free treatment of people above 70 year old. I want to assure you, If anyone from your family above 70-years of age, Your mother, father, grandfather if they need treatment, you don't neeed to worry about that. Thier son is sitting in Delhi," PM Modi further spoke about health insurance coverage to all senior citizens aged 70 and above.
PM Modi further stated that the NDA government started Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN) scheme from the birthplace of famous tribal freedon fighter Birsa Munda.
"We started the PM Jan Man scheme from Bhagwan Birsa Munda's birthplace Ulihatu. This will benefit those tribes who have been neglected for years."
PM Modi futher assured that BJP abide by the motto of 'Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas'. He alleged that Congress wants to "break" the unity of tribals, OBCs and Dalits.
"BJP-NDA government abide by the motto of 'Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas'. By following this path Jharkhand will develop. However Congress and JMM have some other intentions. Congress knows that where tribals, OBCs and Dalits got united they were finished from those states. Congress wants to break the unity of SCs, STs and OBCs community. The want to take away the reservation. If you'll be divided in caste whether your powers recede or not. That's why I say; Ek Rahenge toh safe rahenge," PM Modi said.
