Ranchi (Jharkhand) [India], November 4 : Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has slammed the Jharkhand government saying it is very unfortunate that they form the government here but about Bangladesh. They should feel ashamed and the public would give a befitting reply by their votes in the upcoming state assembly polls.
CM Yadav made the remark while addressing a public gathering in Khalari, Ranchi on Monday in view of the assembly elections.
"They (referring to the Jharkhand government) even hesitate to say 'Bharat Mata ki Jai'. The true patriots of the country are standing at the borders of the country and protecting the country from anti-India people. It is our responsibility that anti-India people should not come inside the country," CM Yadav said.
He further stressed that it was the responsibility of the state government to drive away these anti-India people.
"Though if they (anti-India) accidentally came here, then it is the responsibility of the state government to drive away these anti-India people. But unfortunately, they (Jharkhand government) are taking your (Public) votes, forming the government but speaking well about Bangladesh. They should feel ashamed, the public is watching and they will give a befitting reply by voting for the soldiers, culture, pride of the country on November 13," CM Yadav added.
Earlier, JMM spokesperson and candidate Mahua Maji criticised the BJP claiming that no one would believe them or their manifesto.
"No one will believe this manifesto because the public has seen their governments, neither Jharkhand nor Ranchi developed during their time. Trafficking of women was at its peak during the BJP's tenure... The central government has not yet given the coal royalty to the state government," Maji said.
The Jharkhand Assembly elections are scheduled to be held in two phases on November 13 and November 20, with counting of votes scheduled for November 23.
In the previous assembly elections in Jharkhand 2019, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) won 30 seats, BJP won 25 seats and Congress won 16. In 2014, BJP won 37 seats, JMM won 19 seats and Congress only won 6 seats.
