New Delhi [India], June 10 : JD(U) leader KC Tyagi congratulated PM Modi for signing the remaining instalments of Kisan Samman Nidhi and said that the third term of BJP-led NDA would be dedicated to the farmers.
KC Tyagi said, "The remaining instalments of Kisan Samman Nidhi were signed by PM Modi after taking charge of the Prime Minister's Office. I congratulate him. The third term of PM Modi would be dedicated to farmers. We are part of NDA government. Congress is part of INDIA bloc and their alliance is on the verge of collapse. AAP has announced that it would fight the Assembly elections in Delhi separately. Our alliance is stable."
He further condemned the Reasi terror attack and said that it was a cowardly attack.
He further said, "It is a very unfortunate incident. Launching a cowardly attack on devotees is condemnable."
Earlier after he took oath for a third consecutive term, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday began his day in office by authorising the release of 17th instalment of PM Kisan Nidhi. The scheme will benefit 9.3 crore farmers and distribute around Rs 20,000 crore.
"Ours is a Government fully committed to Kisan Kalyan. It is therefore fitting that the first file signed on taking charge is related to farmer welfare. We want to keep working even more for the farmers and the agriculture sector in the times to come," the Prime Minister said after signing the file at his office in South Bloc.
JD(U) won 12 seats in the Lok Sabha elections. The party had contested the Lok Sabha elections in alliance with BJP, LJP and HAM.
