"I have talked to the CLP, he has injuries on his hands. He was manhandled... This is a dictatorship... For the Kolkata incident (RG Kar rape and murder case), the President put out a tweet condemning it, but in Odisha, 64000 women have gone missing, gangrapes are happening every day, minor girls are getting pregnant, and school-going girls are giving birth in government residences, and the President has not said a word about it. Our MLAs were demanding a discussion on this... We will continue to fight...", Ajay Kumar Lallu said to ANI on Tuesday.
Furthermore, Congress Odisha president Bhakta Charan Das alleged that he is being arrested. Das said that section 144 is applied in the area due to which they have reduced their number to 4 from 5 people and hence should not be arrested.
"According to Section-144, we reduced our number from five to four, and technically we should not be arrested. We requested them to allow one leader but they are not even doing that. We are being arrested now. Our CLP is also injured...", Bhakta Charan Das said to ANI.
