"This proves who is 'ghamandia'?" NCP chief Sharad Pawar on BJP's remarks on Opposition bloc

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], September 1 : Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar on Friday slammed Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for terming the Opposition bloc INDIA "ghamandia" and said that the jibe smacks of the ruling party's arrogance.
"On the meeting of our alliance, senior leaders of the BJP used the term 'ghamandia'. This proves who is 'ghamandia'? Those who don't even like our meeting and interacting. They don't even like people coming together," Pawar said after the conclusion of the two-day meeting
He further promised that the INDIA alliance would not stop and wouldn't go on the wrong path.
"I promise that we will not stop and we won't go on the wrong path...We will do everything to give a clean administration in the country," he added.
The BJP called the INDIA alliance as "ghamandia alliance" and said it is a selfish grouping.
Earlier in the day, the constituent parties in the Opposition INDIA alliance on Friday decided to contest the 2024 Lok Sabha election together "as far as possible", said the alliance's resolution taken during its third strategic meeting being held in Mumbai.
The third formal meeting of the opposition bloc INDIA alliance began on Friday with the aim of coming up with an action plan for the next Lok Sabha Polls.
The first meeting of the joint opposition was held in Patna on June 23 and the second meeting was held in Bengaluru on July 17-18.
