Hathras (Uttar Pradesh) [India], April 1 : In a sharp critique of the opposition, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Monday that those who point fingers at Modi are hindering India's development.
Speaking at the 'Prabuddh varg Sammelan' in Hathras, CM Yogi said, "These individuals are obstacles in the journey towards a 'Viksit Bharat.' We must eliminate these obstacles and strive to achieve the vision of a secure and prosperous India under the leadership of Modi ji."
Emphasizing that 'Viksit Bharat,' all-round development is Modi's guarantee, the Uttar Pradesh CM added that in a developed India, every individual, regardless of their caste or community, should receive respect and opportunities to progress without discrimination. Where the rule of law prevails, not anarchy, and equal protection is ensured for daughters and traders alike.
"Development must be inclusive with no room for casteism or nepotism. This forms the foundation of the idea of a 'developed India.' We have seen Modi's guarantee work on the ground and hence, the entire country has faith in it," he said.
The Chief Minister appealed to the public to support the state government minister and BJP's Lok Sabha candidate from Hathras, Anup Valmiki 'Pradhan'.
Emphasizing that Hathras serves as the gateway to the Braj division, Yogi Adityanath remarked, "In 2020, PM Modi spoke about 'Aatmnirbhar Bharat' (self-reliant India). The people of Hathras, Kasganj, Aligarh, Moradabad, Agra, Mathura, etc., had already achieved self-reliance centuries ago. When we formulated the ODOP policy to promote products from every district in the state, it was based on the brass work of Moradabad, hardware of Aligarh, asafoetida of Hathras, glass items of Firozabad, etc. Handicrafts and skills have always been integral to our heritage. Your ancestors here exemplified social self-reliance through the pursuit of self-reliance."
CM Yogi also called upon intellectuals and told them to actively participate in the upcoming elections and contribute to the NDA's target of achieving 80 seats in Uttar Pradesh to form the Narendra Modi-led government at the centre.
"Intellectuals give voice to the beliefs and opinions of the society. Through your guidance, you can help shape public opinion, thus sharing in the responsibility. You have witnessed the transformation of India - from the turmoil before 2014 to a more prosperous nation thereafter. Security, prosperity, livelihood, and respect for faith have all improved," he said.
CM Yogi said that this election is 'family first versus nation first.' It represents a critical decision between appeasement and the preservation of India's faith.
"We have to make a choice between those who promote anarchy, incite riots, and enforce curfews and the Modi's government, which ensures a riot-free, curfew-free, and secure environment. Our governance schemes have been implemented without bias; regardless of caste, creed, region, or language, everyone has been equally entitled to the benefits of development initiatives," he said.
