Three independent MLAs in Haryana extend support to BJP

New Delhi [India], October 9 : A day after Haryana election results came out, three independent MLAs from Haryana, Devender Kadyan and Rajesh Joon, Savitri Jindal on Wednesday extended their support to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
While informing the media persons about their decision, Haryana BJP President Mohan Lal Badoli said that BJP now has a total of 51 MLAs in Haryana.
The BJP is set to form its third successive government in Haryana after it won 48 seats in the 90-member assembly as per the results announced on Tuesday. The Congress won 37 seats.
Speaking to media persons Mohan Lal Badoli said, "...48 candidates of BJP have won in the Haryana elections and 3 independent candidates have also won. Devender Kadyan and Rajesh Joon are sitting here with me. They have decided to extend support to BJP under the leadership of PM Modi..."
Devender Kadyan has won from the Ganaur assembly constituency by a margin of 35209 votes against Congress' Kuldip Sharma. Whereas, Rajesh Joon has been elected from Bahadurgarh seat. He won against BJP's Dinesh Kaushik by a margin of 41999 votes.
Speaking to ANI Rajesh Joon said, "I am extending support to BJP. I like BJP's policies and for the development of my constituency, I have decided to support them..."
Extending support to BJP Devender Kadyan said "I am supporting the BJP government. All the 36 fraternities of Ganaur have voted for me and their aspirations can be fulfilled only by joining the government. We will support the BJP for the development of Ganaur. Earlier I was in the BJP and all are like my family... I am not joining the party, I will support the government."
Independent MLA from Haryana's Hisar Assembly seat, Savitri Jindal said, "...For the development of Hisar, I have decided to support the BJP government."
Earlier today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini after he led the BJP to a historic hat-trick of victories in the Assembly elections on Tuesday.
Haryana CM Nayab Saini attributed the state's election victory to PM Modi's leadership after meeting him.
"The credit for this huge victory goes to PM Modi who has made such policies and schemes in the last 10 years that have benefitted poor, farmer, youth, women. His schemes are for every section of the society. This victory is the result of the PM's policies and people's love and affection towards PM Modi. I thank the people of Haryana. I am grateful to the party workers of Haryana as well... " he said.
On Tuesday, PM Modi took a jibe at Congress over its complaint and subsequent letter to the Election Commission regarding "slowdown in updating results" of assembly polls in Haryana and alleged that the opposition party wants to tarnish every institution.
