Tripura Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu attends NCC Biannual Commanders Conference in Agartala

Agartala (Tripura) [India], October 23 : Tripura Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu, attended the NCC Biannual Commanders Conference 2024 in Agartala on Wednesday, a press release stated.
A large number of youths of NCC joined the program, comprising different encouraging and motivational events.
Alongside Governor Nallu, Major General Gagan Deep, Additional Director General of the National Cadet Corps (NCC), is leading a delegation of Group Commanders from the North Eastern Region (NER) for the Biannual Group Commanders Conference taking place from October 23 to 25 in Agartala, Tripura.
During the three-day conference, the General Officer will receive briefings from Group Commanders on the extensive activities undertaken by NCC cadets across the NER. A highlight of the event will be an interaction between the Governor of Tripura, Nallu Indrasena Reddy, and both officers and cadets, fostering a dialogue on the role of NCC in community development and youth engagement.
The conference presents an opportunity for around 5,300 NCC cadets from 95 schools and colleges across Tripura, including around 2,500 girl cadets, to showcase their talents and achievements before esteemed officials. This engagement marks a milestone for the cadets, who will demonstrate their skills and dedication to the Governor and the NCC leadership, according to the release.
Under the guidance of Maj Gen Gagan Deep, discussions are progressing with the Tripura state government for a comprehensive organisational overhaul of NCC in the region, aiming to enhance its operational effectiveness and outreach.
The ADG will assess ongoing NCC activities and share his vision for expansion and training initiatives during his visit. Furthermore, he will engage directly with cadets, Associate NCC Officers (ANOs), and instructors--integral to the NCC's mission in Tripura.
In addition to the conference proceedings, senior officials will visit remote areas to evaluate training facilities for cadets, ensuring that all NCC members have access to quality training and resources.
"This event underscores the NCC's commitment to empowering youth in Tripura and the North East, fostering leadership, discipline, and community service among cadets," the release added.
