Tripura: SEC begins preparation for three-tier Panchayat polls

Agartala (Tripura) [India], May 14 : Tripura State Election Commission (SEC) has started preparations for conducting the Three-tier Panchayat elections in the state by initiating the process of compiling the voter list and finalizing polling stations.
The Three-tier Panchayat elections were scheduled to be held in the last week of July.
Speaking on the preparedness for the upcoming Panchayat elections, Tripura Election Commissioner Sharadindu Choudhury said the ongoing preparations include the meticulous finalization of voter lists and polling stations. These critical tasks are slated to be completed by the end of June, underscoring the department's commitment to ensuring a seamless electoral process.
Scheduled to commence in the last week of July, the elections are poised to be a significant democratic exercise.
Within the framework of the Panchayat Samiti, a staggering number of seats await contention.
