Tripura Youth Congress demands job for kin of exam candidate who died in accident

Agartala (Tripura) [India], May 3 : The Tripura Youth Congress has initiated a protest urging the provision of employment opportunities and healthcare services for the family of Dibraj Debbarma who died in a bus accident while on his way to appear for the Tripura State Cooperative Bank (TSCB) recruitment examination.
Facing financial struggles compounded by health issues, the family's plight prompted the youth wing of the Congress party in Tripura to take action.
The protest aims to draw attention to the challenges faced by the Debbarma family and rally support for their cause.
Representatives of the Tripura Youth Congress emphasized the importance of extending support to marginalized families facing adversity.
They underscored their commitment to advocating for social justice and welfare measures to uplift vulnerable sections of society.
The protest underscores broader concerns about equitable access to livelihoods and healthcare services in Tripura. It calls upon the Bank authority to prioritize the welfare of the Debbarma family and take prompt action to address their grievances.
Dibraj Debbarma was travelling to Guwahati, Assam where the recruitment examination was scheduled to be conducted. The accident occurred on the Badarpur-Lumding road near Halflong.
According to officials, on Thursday, the bus they travelled in lost control and overturned in the mountainous region of Dima Hasao district of North Cachar Hills in Assam.
All passengers who were injured in the accident were rushed to a local hospital, police officers said. A few of them are under treatment at Silchar Medical College and Hospital.
Following the death of a Tripura youth in Assam while he was on his way to appear for a recruitment exam, Tipra Motha has said that the state must try to ensure that most examinations are held within Tripura.
