Roorkee (Uttarakhand) [India], April 14 : Claiming that the Congress saddled the nation with pressing issues, including terrorism, Naxalism, nepotism, casteism, and regionalism, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Sunday that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, however, the "country is no longer helpless," and iinstead secure in strong hands.
The CM said this while addressing the Vijay Sankalp rally in support of BJP candidate and former Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat for the Haridwar Lok Sabha constituency.
Adityanath emphasized that the forthcoming election is a decisive choice between prioritizing the nation's interests over familial concerns.
CM Adityanath underscored the sentiment prevailing across the country, expressing determination to bring back those who uphold the legacy of Lord Ram while rejecting the Congress, which, he claimed, had disregarded the sanctity of Lord Ram.
CM Yogi lauded Rawat's dedication and sacrifices in his political journey. He called for a historic victory for the BJP in Haridwar and pledged that over the next five years, Haridwar would undergo development akin to that witnessed in Ayodhya.
Commemorating the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar, he noted the Modi government's fitting tribute to the architect of the Constitution, through the establishment of 'Panch Teerthas.'
"Additionally, the consecration of Lord Shri Ram in a grand temple in Ayodhya after a wait of 500 years has further exemplified the government's commitment to cultural and religious heritage," he said.
The UP CM also stressed India's exemplary infrastructure advancements and welfare initiatives, reaffirming the BJP's commitment to fostering a self-reliant India, as outlined in their manifesto.
CM Adityanath emphasized a zero-tolerance approach to crime, ensuring swift and stringent action against offenders, signaling a shift towards law enforcement and accountability.
He asserted that security forms the bedrock for fostering development and ensuring effective governance.
The UP CM asserted that the BJP is the only party capable of addressing the nation's diverse challenges, ranging from national security and law enforcement to youth employment and cultural respect.
He criticized the Congress for burdening the country with issues such as terrorism, Naxalism, nepotism, casteism, and regionalism.
