Union Agriculture minister submits report on floods in AP, Telangana to Shah

New Delhi [India], September 11 : Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Wednesday met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and handed over the preliminary report of damage caused by the flood and heavy rains in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Taking on to the social media platform X, he said, "Today I met the Hon'ble Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri @AmitShahji in New Delhi and handed over the preliminary report of the damage caused in the flood and heavy rain affected areas of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Soon the central team will visit the affected areas and assess the damage."
Earlier on September 5, Shivraj Singh Chouhan visited Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for two days.
Union Minister Chouhan conducted an aerial survey of Budameru, catchment, and submerged areas in the city, Jakkampudi Milk Factory, Kandrika, Ajit Singh Nagar, and Ambapuram in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.
He also inspected the Prakasham Barrage Dam and fields built on the Krishna River, which were damaged due to heavy rains.
Apart from this, Chouhan met the common people, farmer brothers and sisters affected by the floods, and discussed with them.
During this, he said that the central and state governments are working day and night to normalize the situation and provide relief to the people.
Union Minister reached Jakkampudi in Vijayawada and talked to the local people by getting into the water and hearing their problems.
He first boarded a lifeboat in the flood-affected area and inspected the entire area and discussed with the NDRF team and officials and took information about the submerged areas.
After that, the Union Minister left the boat and entered the water and talked to the local people. During this, he said that the Central Government is keeping an eye on the flood situation.
In this hour of crisis, the Central Government is fully standing with the people of the flood-affected areas of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and is helping them in every possible way to get out of the crisis.
He asserted that serving the public is our resolution. The teams of the state and central government are constantly visiting the flood-affected areas and taking stock of the situation. Every effort is being made to provide relief to the affected people as soon as possible.
