Union Minister Scindia congratulates Karsevaks for restoring Morar Nala, making it river again

Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh) [India], August 3 : Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has extended greetings to Kar Sevaks who put in their effort for a month and took steps to restore Morar Nala as a river again in Gwalior district.
Scindia visited the restored Morar river on Saturday and also planted a sapling there under the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign. He also discussed restoring the Morar river as well as making it a tourist place with the administrative officials present on the spot.
"I want to congratulate all the Kar Sevaks who put in their effort for a month and took steps to restore Morar Nala as a river again. We have to establish the same contribution on the Swarnarekha river, on the Morar river in the entire city. For this, I request all the city residents that you also make a plan and join it. Together we will restore the glory of Gwalior not only on the basis of modernity or tradition but also on the basis of nature," Scindia told reporters.
The Union Minister further shared a video of inspecting the Morar river and discussing it with officials concerned on his social media handle 'X' and wrote that the resolve to revive the Morar river was unwavering.
"Our resolve to revive the Morar River is unwavering. In this direction, we have started the "Morar River Revival and Development Project". In the first phase of the scheme, we are working to revive a 2.8 km stretch of the river at a cost of Rs 22 crore. Today, we reviewed the plan with local officials and public representatives. Our aim is to preserve this part of the river and make it a tourist destination for the general public," Scindia wrote.
