UP bypolls: "Will fight together with Pallavi Patel's Apna Dal-Kamerawadi", says Asaduddin Owaisi

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], October 18 : All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president Asaduddin Owaisi on Friday said that the party will contest Uttar Pradesh by-polls with Apna Dal-Kamerawadi.
"We will contest these elections together with our sister Dr Pallavi Patel (Apna Dal, Kamerawadi). Our Uttar Pradesh Chief has told me that we will contest on two seats. And the remaining seats would be decided by Pallavi Patel... We will contest this bye-election together," Owaisi said.
There are 10 vacant assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh but bypolls were announced for nine seats. Kumar said the election was not announced for the Milkipur seat in Ayodhya as the election petition is pending.
The largest number of bypolls will be held in Uttar Pradesh and seats going to the polls are Meerapur, Kundarki, Ghaziabad, Khair, Karhal, Phulpur, Katehari, Majhawan, and Sishamau.
Ahead of Maharashtra and Jharkhand assembly polls, AIMIM Chief Owaisi said that his party has sent Aadil Hasan and Riyaz Ul Hassan Effendi (to Jharkhand).
"Our party has sent Aadil Hasan and Riyaz Ul Hassan Effendi (to Jharkhand). They will go there and see what we should do and how many seats we should contest or not. Akhtarul Iman will see if we should contest the Bihar bye-election or not... For Maharashtra, we have declared 5 candidates... We already have 2 MLAs in Maharashtra. We will try to increase the no. of our MLAs. We hope that the Shinde-Fadnavis government does not get the mandate... We think that every community should have a political voice," Owaisi said.
Assembly elections in Maharashtra will be held in a single phase on November 20 and Jharkhand elections will be held in two phases on November 13 and November 20.
Votes will be counted in the two states on November 23.
