Baghpat (Uttar Pradesh) [India], October 26 : Uttar Pradesh has entered into a new era of security and prosperity where the safety of every sister is assured and entrepreneurs can operate without fear of harassment, said Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday.
Addressing a public meeting during the inauguration and foundation stone laying ceremony of 311 development projects worth Rs 351 crore in Baghpat on Thursday, Yogi said that the development schemes are benefiting all segments of the population without discrimination.
"Presently, no one can unlawfully seize a farmer's land, or jeopardise the future of the youth. Those who attempt to do so will face the consequences of their actions, including penalties", said Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
The Chief Minister talked about converting Janta Vedic College into a university and directed concerned officials to send a proposal in this regard as soon as possible. Baghpat seems eager to touch new heights of development. Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh regarded India's villages as the foundation of the nation's progress.
"In 2014, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi assumed office, he made efforts to prioritize villages, the poor, youth and women as the focal points of development. Presently, the outcomes of these efforts are visible through impartial development initiatives. The double engine government has genuinely paid homage to Chaudhary Saheb", added CM Yogi.
He expressed satisfaction over the youth of Baghpat securing government jobs. "This opportunity should have been given earlier. The youth in this region had faced discrimination for 20-25 years. However, in a double-engine government, there is no discrimination, and development initiatives are executed efficiently. Besides, no one is allowed to promote anarchy or hooliganism. The youth of Baghpat is full of energy and their energy and talent are visible in the development of the country and the state", CM Yogi remarked.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the government has paid tribute to Chaudhary Charan Singh by reviving the Chhaprauli Sugar Mill. The expansion of the Baghpat Sugar Mill is also on the horizon.
He recalled that when he assumed office in 2017, sugarcane farmers had not received their due payments since 2010. Presently, sugarcane prices are paid annually. There is no need for anyone to be concerned, as the government is dedicated to ensuring food security, he pointed out.
CM Yogi said that earlier no one had ever thought that a highway would be built here. Now, the Delhi-Dehradun Greenfield Expressway is being built here. This highway will bring development to the entire area, create new job opportunities, and increase value of land, thus stopping the migration of youth from the area, he added.
"With the transformation of Janata Vedic College into a university, new subjects will be taught here. The youth from nearby districts will benefit from higher education. A medical college will also be inaugurated in Baghpat soon. The youth here will have the opportunity to study modern subjects", informed the Chief Minister.
He said that the government respects farmers, artisans, and sportspersons. In the last one year, 500 players have been given jobs in the Police department in UP. The projects that were inaugurated, or for which foundation stones were laid, are related to roads, health, tourism and education. These projects will benefit every section of society.
Referring to Kanwar Yatra, CM Yogi said, "Banning any festival is wrong. We must welcome a new era of prosperity while adhering to the discipline and traditions of festivals and celebrations."
Before this, the Chief Minister also visited the exhibitions organized by various departments. At the same time, on behalf of the Bal Vikas Evam Pustahaar Vibhag, he provided food to children and distributed nutritious food to pregnant women.
Additionally, the CM Yogi distributed tablets, smartphones, and certificates to the beneficiaries of various schemes and handed out certificates to the beneficiaries of the Kanya Sumangala Yojana, Ayushman Bharat Yojana, PM SVANidhi Yojana, and the Poly and Pack House.
Moreover, the Chief Minister distributed a check of Rs 10 lakh as part of the Mukhyamantri Yuva Swarozgar Yojana and distributed tablets and smartphones to girl students.
