Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh) [India], October 19 : The students of Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology for Handicapped (AITH) have created a digital gamla (pot) that will provide water to the plants automatically considering their requirements.
This will help people in better take care of their plants and even go out without any worry, as the digital pot is self-dependent.
The Chemical engineering students of AITH Institute; Himanshi Kushwaha, Niharika Gaur and many of their colleagues have together been behind this project.
Speaking to ANI, Himanshi said that this pot also has a digital meter screen in which one can see temperature and humidity, and water can also be stored in the pot.
She said that sometimes water in the pot gets increases or decreases, due to which, the plant gets spoiled. But, with the help of digital pot, this kind of problem can be avoided.
Himanshi further said, "We have made it with the help of coding. Many types of sensors are also installed in it. If you store water in a pot, leave your plants and go outside for many days, it will automatically keep watering the pot for many days".
"We want to make it practical so that the common man can also use it. Now we are going to install many sensors in this digital pot so that you will get all the information on the phone itself," one of the co-founders Niharika said.
