Uttarakhand CM Dhami extends greetings of Diwali, Dhanteras, Bhai Dooj

Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], October 29 : Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday extended greetings of Dhanteras and Diwali, and wished for the happiness, prosperity and health of the people of the state.
"Chief Minister Dhami extended greetings of Dhanteras, Diwali, Govardhan Puja and Bhaiya Dooj and wished happiness, peace and prosperity of the people of the state," an official release from the Chief Minister's Office stated.
The Chief Minister said that Dhanteras is the festival of worship of Lord Dhanvantari, the god of health, and said that he prayed Lord Dhanvantari may provide happiness, prosperity and health in everybody's lives.
CM Dhami extended heartfelt wishes to all the people of the state on the holy festival of Diwali, describing the holy festival of Diwali as a "symbol of happiness and prosperity."
He said the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesh will infuse happiness, prosperity, peace and health in the lives of everybody.
The Chief Minister said that this festival of Diwali is also a festival of national identity and pride and wished that this festival of light brings wealth, splendour, fame, opulence and prosperity to all.
He further said that the festival of Diwali also gives the message of truth, goodwill and dignity.
CM Dhami added that the festival of lamps is also associated with the return of Lord Rama to Ayodhya after 14 years of exile symbolising the victory of good over evil and light over darkness.
The Chief Minister said that Govardhan Puja is a symbol of the conservation of economic and cultural resources of the society and the country.
Wishing the people of the state, the auspicious festival of Bhaiya Dooj, the Chief Minister said that this festival demonstrates the mutual love of brothers and sisters, respect for the mother power and their importance in the family and society.
The Chief Minister said that on the festival of Diwali, everyone should assimilate the mantra of 'Vocal for Local' and contribute to the fulfilment of the resolution of self-reliant India by promoting the promotion and dissemination of local products as much as possible.
