Uttarakhand CM Dhami flags off vacuum-based cleaning machines ahead of Independence Day

Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], August 14 : Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami flagged off vacuum-based cleaning machines for 13 district panchayats of the state under the "Swachhta Apnao, Bimari Bhagao" campaign organized at Gandhi Park in Dehradun ahead of Independence Day on Wednesday.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister paid tribute to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi by offering flowers to his statue and also administered the oath of cleanliness to the people present.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said, "Under the able leadership of the respected Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji, our government is constantly moving forward towards realizing the resolution of clean India. An appeal to all the residents of the state is to collect garbage at a designated place and ensure their participation in making their village and city clean."

CM Dhami flagged off a cleanliness drive being operated by the Panchayati Raj Department for 13 districts from Gandhi Park.
The Chief Minister also paid tribute to the victims of Partition on the occasion of 'Partition Horrors Remembrance Day.
"On Partition Horrors Remembrance Day, I pay tribute to the lakhs of families who suffered the pain of Partition, enduring many tortures. On this day in 1947, the country was divided based on religion. Due to this poison of discrimination and ill-will given to the country, lakhs of brothers and sisters had to be displaced and thousands of people had to lose their lives," CM Dhami said in a post on X.
Earlier, on August 13 CM Dhami held a review meeting of the CM Dashboard in the Secretariat. The CM gave instructions to include all the departments in it and upload the data of the projects on the portal within 15 days. Departments have been instructed to make the portal user-friendly.
"We aim to solve public problems through the dashboard. 893 stalls have been set up across the state to provide a platform for the sale of products made by women's self-help groups. Our local products have got a new identity through women's self-help groups, we are committed to empowering the women of the state," the CM said.
