Uttarakhand CM Dhami to be honoured with Dr Syama Prasad Mukherjee Award in Mumbai

Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], June 22 : Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will be honoured with the prestigious Dr Syama Prasad Mukherjee Award in Mumbai on June 23 for implementing the Uniform Civil Code in Uttarakhand.
The Deep Kamal Foundation will honour Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami with the Dr Syama Prasad Mukherjee award for implementing UCC in Uttarakhand, the first in the country and fulfilling the dream of the late politician and barrister.
The event will take place on the occasion of Dr Syama Prasad Mukherjee's martyrdom day on June 23, in a ceremony organized at Veer Savarkar Hall in Dadar, Mumbai, confirmed the Chief Minister's Office (CMO).
Earlier on Friday, Chief Minister Dhami expressed his views on the importance of Yoga and on International Yoga Day at an event in Adikailash.
The Chief Minister also outlined the measures that can be taken to boost tourism in the region.
The Uttarakhand Chief Minister on Thursday held a high-level meeting with officials on various issues related to law and order at his official residence.
Instructions were given to run the verification drive going on in the state more strictly at the meeting.
The Chief Minister directed the officials to make a detailed action plan and complete all the preparations for the efficient management and operation of the Kanwar Yatra to be held in the state.
Along with this, he also directed to do a complete background check of the people buying land in Uttarakhand.CM Dhami said that our state is 'Devbhoomi', and there is no place for crime and criminals here.
He said that better law and order is very important for any developing state and our government is determined to maintain a peaceful and fear-free environment in the state.
