Uttarakhand CM offers prayer at Parthasarathy Swamy Temple; to hold roadshow in Chennai

Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], October 26 : Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Thursday offered prayers at Parthasarathy Swamy Temple in Triplicane, Chennai. He will also hold a road show to encourage investments in Uttarakhand.
CM Dhami is on a visit to Chennai under the "Invest in Uttarakhand" mission and will hold a road show to encourage investments in the state.
Speaking to the media after offering prayers at the Parthasarathy Swamy Temple, CM Dhami said that he has come to Chennai to bring investments to Uttarakhand and will meet people regarding the same.
"Uttarakhand government is continuously getting in touch with people. We had organised a similar summit (Invest Uttarakhand) in Delhi and later in London, Birmingham, Abu Dhabi and Dubai. We have now come here and we will meet people here too. We met people yesterday too. All of them spoke about coming to Uttarakhand. We will speak to more people today," CM Dhami said.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers of Tamil Nadu welcomed and felicitated CM Dhami on his arrival at Chennai Airport on Wednesday.
Various groups of industrialists met CM Dhami on the occasion of dinner in Chennai on Wednesday. On this occasion, various topics were discussed to promote investment in Uttarakhand, an official statement from the Uttrakhand CMO said.
The Chief Minister said that many new policies have been made by the government to promote industries in the state. Changes are also being made to the policies, incorporating the suggestions of people associated with the industry.
The Chief Minister said that there is a favourable environment for industries in Uttarakhand. Road, rail, ropeway and air connectivity are expanding rapidly in the state. So far, agreements worth more than Rs 55 thousand crore have been signed under the Uttarakhand Global Investor Summit.
On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Satpal Maharaj, Saurabh Bahuguna, Secretary R. Meenakshi Sundaram, Sachin Kurve, and R. Rajesh Kumar were present.
