"Vote will decide future of Madhya Pradesh...": Amit Shah in Ujjain

Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh) [India], October 29 : Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday asserted that the vote of the people will decide the future of Madhya Pradesh and India.
"Always remember that vote will decide the future of Madhya Pradesh and India," Amit Shah while addressing a rally in Ujjain.
He also offered prayer at Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain.
He further said that Congress made Madhya Pradesh a 'Bimaru' state and on the other hand under the leadership of PM Modi, the BJP brought development
"You (people of Madhya Pradesh) have just two options. The first option is Congress which had made Madhya Pradesh a 'BIMARU state'. The second option is PM Modi-led BJP which has brought development in each and every corner of Madhya Pradesh in the last 18 years," he added.
Madhya Pradesh is one of the five states set to hold elections this year. The state is scheduled to undergo polls on November 17 and the counting of votes will take place on December 3. Voters will choose legislators from 230 Assembly constituencies.
In the last 2018 assembly elections, Congress won 114 seats with a vote share of 40.89 per cent while the BJP came second and managed to win 109 seats. Its vote share was 41.02 per cent.
The Congress came to power with Kamal Nath taking oath as the chief minister but Jyotiraditya Scindia, along with 22 loyalist MLAs, switched over to BJP in 2020. The BJP later formed the government with Shivraj Singh Chouhan as Chief Minister.
