"Want to draw inspiration from Mahatma Gandhi and keep working": BJP's Mansukh Mandaviya during visit to Gandhi's birthplace

Porbandar (Gujarat) [India], April 15 : Ahead of the nomination filing, Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Chemicals and Fertilizers, Mansukh Mandaviya visited Kirti Mandir in Porbandar, the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi and wished to keep working by drawing inspiration from Mahatma Gandhi.
Speaking to ANI, Mandaviya said that while visiting the place, he prayed to draw inspiration from the life of Mahatma Gandhi and keep working in the field of politics. He said, "Today before filing nominations, I have come here to the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi. We have to take inspiration from his life and keep working in the field of politics."
The minister, before filing his nomination papers, also held a rally in Porbandar.
Taking to his official X handle, the Union Health Minister also tweeted about offering prayers at Bhojeshwar Temple ahead of filing his nomination, along with Arjun Modhwadia and Ramesh Dhaduk.
A memorial shrine in Porbandar, Kirti Mandir was established in remembrance of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi and Kasturba Gandhi. The family's ancestral home, where Mahatma Gandhi was born on October 2, 1869, lies next to the Kirti Mandir.
The place has a spacious courtyard and is surrounded by a photo exhibit depicting Mahatma Gandhi's life journey. Shree Darbar Gopaldas Desai built the foundation for the current Kirti Mandir in 1947. After Mahatma Gandhi died in 1950, the memorial was built and unveiled by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on May 27, 1950.
