Raipur (Chhattisgarh) [India], October 21 : After a Bharatiya Janata Party worker was killed allegedly by unknown gunmen in the Maoist-affected district of Mohla Manpur in Chhattisgarh, Party's National Spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia slammed Bupesh Baghel and said that ensuring safety of citizens is the responsibility of the government.
"People of Chhattisgarh are upset because a BJP worker was murdered. We will fight for the justice of our party worker. Law and order is the subject of state government, ensuring the safety of citizens is the responsibility of Bhupesh Baghel. The slain party worker belonged to the tribal community. Tribal culture is being ruined through conversion and one that stands with them is the BJP. It is the safety cover of the tribal community," Gaurav Bhatia said.
"On one side, the government at the centre wanted to make Chhattisgarh safe as well as secure while the state government busy is amassing their locker," he added.
Police have suspected the role of Naxals behind the murder of a BJP worker in the poll-bound state.
Rajnandgaon Inspector General (IG) Rahul Bhagat said the police force, Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), District Reserve Guard (DRG), and others immediately reached the spot after receiving the information.
"In the Mohla Manpur Ambagarh Chowki district, under the Aundhi police station, Birjhu Taram was killed by unknown gunmen... Since last night, proceedings have been ongoing on the incident," IG Bhagat told ANI on Saturday.
Gaurav Bhatia also alleged that the selection of candidates in PSC depends on their closeness with the CM.
Raising the voice of youths against the corrupt practice is in the DNA of the BJP while the DNA of Congress is to commit corruption, he alleged and further claimed that this time BJP will form the government.
"If Bhupesh Baghel is not indulged in the corruption, he should share details on actions that have been taken against the corruption. Baghel should stop reading Gandhi Chalisa and read the constitution," Bhatia added.
He further alleged that the promises that were made in the Congress poll manifesto are yet to be fulfilled.
