"We will make Uttarakhand best state in India": CM Dhami

Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], March 23 : Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people of the state and the nation's warriors who sacrificed their lives for the country's freedom and also acknowledged the contributions of those who fought for the creation of Uttarakhand.
CM Dhami urged the collective efforts of the people of the state to overcome the challenges and strive to make Uttarakhand the best states of the country.
"We have faced many challenges, and there are more ahead, but together, we will make Uttarakhand the best state in India," he asserted.
Chief Minister Dhami highlighted several key developments in the state, including the swift rise in Char Dham Yatra pilgrimages, the approval of ropeways for Kedarnath and Hemkund Sahib, and the signing of MoUs worth over Rs 3.55 lakh crore during the Investors Global Summit.
He also mentioned the progress of key infrastructure projects, including all-weather Char Dham roads, health services, and the construction of AIIMS and a smart industrial city.
CM Dhami pointed to important decisions made under PM Modi's leadership, such as the Uniform Civil Code, anti-cheating and anti-riots laws, and laws against land jihad and love jihad.
Speaking to ANI, CM Dhami said, "First of all, I express gratitude to the people of Uttarakhand and bow before the warriors of the country who sacrificed themselves for the nation. I bow before all those people who sacrificed themselves for the formation of Uttarakhand. On behalf of the people of Uttarakhand, I express gratitude to PM Narendra Modi. In last 3 years, he cooperated with us and guided us in all challenging situations - be it COVID pandemic, landslides, crisis of the last years, Kedar valley crisis, Silkayara tunnel matter or landslide in Mana. With his inspiration, there has been a swift rise (in the number of pilgrims undertaking) Char Dham Yatra. Ropeway has been approved for Himkund and Kedarnath."
"In Investors Global Summit, MoUs of over Rs 3.55 Lakh Crores were signed and grounding has begun for Rs 80,000 Crores. Char Dham all-weather roads, Bharatmala roads, health services, construction of AIIMS or smart industrial city, we have received approval for all. Several such works and many historic decisions have been done under the guidance of PM Modi - be it UCC, anti-cheating law, anti-riots law, anti-conversion law, laws against land jihad and love jihad, be it removing encroachment, we are doing all of these as per the expectations of people of Uttarakhand," he said.
Adding further, CM Dhami stated, "PM had said that this decade would be Uttarakhand's. Together, we have to make this the decade of Uttarakhand, we have overcome several challenges and we have to face several more. We have to make Uttarakhand the best state of India."
Earlier in the day, Dhami flagged off the Fit India Run in Dehradun and appealed people to exercise for half an hour daily, eat nutritious food and stay away from addiction.
CM Dhami also participated in the programs organised under Fit India Run on the occasion of completion of 03 years of the State Government (Service, Good Governance and Development) at Athletics Ground, Maharana Pratap Sports College, Raipur, Dehradun.
CM Dhami, who reached among the players, encouraged the players by doing push-ups and inspired them to stay fit. The Chief Minister also met the players and administered the Fit India oath to them. The Chief Minister also distributed drones to the youth who performed best in the drone course being run in collaboration with the Uttarakhand Youth Welfare Department.
The Uttarakhand CM said, "Today three years of the state government have been completed. These 3 years were dedicated to service, good governance, development and public interest."
Watching the youth, he recalled his childhood days and said that he too used to spend most of his time in physical, sports activities in childhood.
He said that all the players who have brought glory to the country today, their journey started under extraordinary circumstances. He appealed to the youth to have a strong will and an alternative-free resolution for their dreams in life.
CM Dhami has appealed to the people of the state, especially the youth, to exercise for half an hour daily, eat nutritious food and stay away from addiction. He said that all the youth together have to increase the pride of Uttarakhand.
"The fitness of the common citizen is the strength of the state of Uttarakhand. We all together have to make fitness a part of our daily routine." he added and urged everyone to keep themselves fit and also inspire the people around them to stay healthy.
