Medinipur (West Bengal) [India], May 20 : West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee held a roadshow in Medinipur on Monday.
Medinipur Lok Sabha constituency will go to polls in the sixth phase of Lok Sabha polls on May 25.
In Medinipur TMC candidate June Maliah is contesting against BJP leader Agnimitra Paul.
While the TMC is banking on Lakshmir Bhandar Scheme to woo women voters the BJP is banking on Ram Mandir, corruption, Sandeshkhali issue, migrant workers plight.
Voting in 7 constituencies is currently going on in the fifth phase of Lok Sabha polls.
Voting for the fifth phase of the ongoing Lok Sabha elections 2024 began on Monday morning across 49 parliamentary constituencies spread over six states and two Union Territories (UTs) amid tight security and arrangements.
In the fifth phase, polling is being held in Bangaon, Barrackpur, Howrah, Uluberia, Srerampur, Hooghly and Arambagh Lok Sabha constituencies in West Bengal.
Notably, elections in West Bengal are being conducted in all seven phases. The result of the elections will come on June 4th.
