New Delhi [India], December 13 : Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, while speaking about Prime Minister Narendra Modi's development strategies for the North-East, on Wednesday said that the PM has visited the region at least 64 times, showcasing his dedication. He also said that what Congress couldn't do in 60 years, PM Modi has done in just nine years.
"Modi Ji has visited the Northeast at least 64 times; this proves his dedication for the welfare of the northeast... What Congress could not do in 60 years, PM Modi has done in just 9 years," he said.
"This is why people living in the 8 north-eastern states are very positive about PM Modi, and their faith in him has given them a boost of confidence," he said.
Sonowal attributed the development and peace in the Northeast to the good governance and dedicated service of the Prime Minister Modi-led government.
When asked about the chances of PM Modi serving a third term, Sonwal confidently stated, "People of the nation have made it clear that he is going to become PM for the third time. This election, we received a grand victory. People had made several claims, but the public has made it clear that PM Modi is a good leader who works for the nation."
