"Will form government with full majority": BJP Chhattisgarh incharge OP Mathur

New Delhi [India], October 9 : Bharatiya Janata Party Chhattisgarh incharge Om Prakash Mathur on Monday said that BJP is going to form a majority government in the upcoming elections adding that even in Rajasthan it will come to power.
Speaking to ANI, OP Mathur said, "BJP Chhattisgarh is fully prepared for the elections. We are already on the ground. We will form the government with a full majority in the state. Even in Rajasthan BJP will come to power. Congress is doing massive corruption in the state."
Former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Raman Singh said that the BJP will raise issues with the public over multiple promises that were not fulfilled by the Congress in their tenure.

"BJP will raise issues like the promises not kept by this current govt. They stalled all development works. Multiple scams worth crores are happening in the state in the field of liquor, coal etc," he said.
Exuding confidence that the people of Chhattisgarh are ready to vote for the prosperity of the state by electing BJP in the upcoming elections, state BJP chief Arun Sao said, "Govt cheated the people of Chhattisgarh for around 5 years. The people of Chhattisgarh are prepared to teach such a government a lesson."
Earlier today Chhattisgarh Deputy CM TS Singh Deo said that he is hopeful that Congress will get another five years to serve the public of the state.
"The sooner (elections) the better. Nowadays, there are five years to prepare for the elections, whatever work you do from the day you get the responsibility is seen as preparation for elections. We focussed on important issues for the public. Hopefully, we will get another five years to serve," he said.
The Election Commission on Monday announced the schedule for assembly election in five states with Chhattisgarh going to the polls in two phases on November 7 and 17. The last date for filing nominations for the first phase of polls in Chhattisgarh is October 20. Candidates can withdraw their nominations by October 23. For the second phase of assembly polls in the state, the last date for filing nominations is October 30 and the candidates can withdraw their nominations by November 2.
Meanwhile, Mizoram, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Telangana will also go to the polls in a single phase.
Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar said that the counting of votes in all five states will take place on December 3.
Congress stormed to power in Chhattisgarh in the 2018 elections, winning 68 of 90 seats in the state assembly. The party had a vote share of 43.9 per cent. BJP won 15 seats and had a vote share of 33.6 per cent.
