Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], September 17 : Shiv Sena (UBT) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut wished good health and long life to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of his 73rd birthday.
"...I wish him good health and long life...He has led the nation in difficult times...Today there are several issues in front of the country such as Manipur, Kashmir, inflation and unemployment...He will continue to face such situations in the coming year...I pray to God to give him strength to deal with these issues as long as he is in power...," Sanjay Raut said on Sunday, speaking to ANI.
Wishing the Prime Minister on the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Raut said, "There are many leaders who are not in office but still lead the country. I have been watching the Prime Minister for nine years. He works very hard, he works 18 hours a day. Elections are coming in 2024, there will be a change in the elections and Modi ji will remain in power for one year. I wish all the best to him."
Speaking on the recently cancelled INDIA rally in Bhopal, Raut said that there were some problems in Bhopal and after they are resolved the rally will be held there.
"Those who are now propagating that the Bhopal rally has been cancelled have been mistaken. There will be no rally in Patna because the repair work of Gandhi Maidan is going on in Patna. Later we decided to hold a rally in Bhopal but there is some problem in Bhopal and it will be resolved soon. The rally will take place," the Shiv Sena (UBT) leader said.
"Whether it will be held in Bhopal, Lucknow or anywhere else, the rally will take place according to the program we have decided. The states will change, but the rally will take place. Those who feel that there is something wrong, there is nothing like that. The new location will be announced by the coordination committee in a few days," he added.
Speaking on Ram Dev Baba's statement on offering 'salvation', he said, "It is good that Ramdev Baba has started giving salvation, Patanjali has also started this work. It is good for marketing. From ghee to oil, now you are also giving salvation."
"In Hindu religion, getting salvation in Sanatan Dharma is a big thing. Now if you have started the service of last rites then it is good," he added.
Speaking on Kharge, Raut said, "Kharge is a prominent leader of this country. He is the president of the Congress party. The president of the Congress is a prestigious post in itself. You should respect him. You did not even invite him to the G20 conference...You are intentionally insulting the opposition."
