Yogi Adityanath holds meeting with 'COVID-19 management Team-11'

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], May 25 : Amid the nationwide lockdown, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday held a meeting with the officers of the 'COVID-19 management Team-11' here.
According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, there are 6,268 COVID-19 cases in Uttar Pradesh, including 3,538 cured/discharged/migrated and 161 deaths.
The Chief Minister on Sunday said that owing to the efforts of the government machinery, as many as 23 lakh workers have been brought back to the state so far. He directed that they should be screened properly and sent to a quarantine centre or for home quarantine as required. He also said that the home quarantined labourers and workers should be provided food grain kits along with Rs 1,000 sustenance allowance, and their ration cards should be made.
The Chief Minister reviewed the lockdown arrangements at a meeting held at his official residence here. He directed for the presenting before him a draft of the proposed migration commission to be set up to ensure comprehensive welfare package for the labourers and workers who have come back and also those who are working in other states.
