New Delhi [India], March 5 : Rashtriya Janata Dal MP Manoj Jha on Wednesday took a swipe at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, saying that he is now worried about him after the latter's heated exchange with RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav in the state assembly, during which the latter claimed that he played a 'key role' in shaping the political career of RJD patriarch Lalu Prasad Yadav.
"I am worried about Nitish Kumar now; it is so unfortunate that he is speaking in such a language. You were in Lalu ji's team, you were called Lalu ji's man," Jha told ANI.
"Yesterday, Tejaswi Yadav, without any bitterness, gave a historical analysis, contemporary challenges and an outline of the future; he explained everything on the basis of logic...You (Nitish Kumar) did not answer it... You are the creator of the universe, you are Brahma. If such thoughts are coming to your mind these days, then I am even more worried about you," he added.
On Tuesday, in the assembly, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar asserted that he played a 'key role' in shaping the political career of Tejashwi Yadav's father and former CM Lalu Prasad Yadav.
As Kumar was making his speech, Tejashwi interrupted him, over which Kumar said, "What was there in Bihar earlier? It was me who made your father what he became. Even the people from your caste questioned me on why I was supporting him, but I still did."
Meanwhile, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha slammed RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav after the verbal exchange.
He further accused the former Bihar Deputy CM of being "against the culture of Sanatan" and opposed its values.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Sinha said, "Today, Tejaswi Yadav was praising his father Lalu Prasad Yadav... even though he is praising him today, he covers his face during the elections for the bad deeds he has committed."
"All the big leaders of the BJP are not from dynasty politics. The BJP has always stayed away from dynasty politics. Tejaswi Yadav has gone away from Sanatan and opposes its values," he further stated.
