Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh) [India], August 4 : TDP MLC Ashok Babu on Friday accused Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) activists of obstructing the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) workers who have taken out a rally in the Rayalaseema region.
Ashok Babu accused the police of supporting YSRCP activists in attacking TDP workers instead of obstructing them.
"Since the last two days, YSRCP activists are obstructing TDP activists in the Rayalseema region. Instead of giving protection, police were standing behind the YRCP activists," Ashok Babu said.
The TDP MLC described that a huge ruckus took place in Andhra Pradesh's Annamayya district as  YSRCP leaders and activists attacked an ongoing TDP rally.
"Since the last two days, YRSCP activists are obstructing the TDP activists in the Rayalaseema region," the MLC said.
YSRCP activists pelted stones on former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, he alleged adding that NSG commandos had to protect Naidu during the attack.
Instead of obstructing the YSRCP activists police supported them in attacking TDP activists, he said. "We will report this incident to the Governor and the President of India," he said.
Chandra Babu Naidu is on a visit to the Rayalseema irrigation project for the last three days to inform people about the failure of irrigation projects in the region, he said.
