A-HELP Programme and Mobile Veterinary Unit Scheme launched in Srinagar

Srinagar, Oct 11 (ANI): A-HELP Programme and Mobile Veterinary Unit Scheme of Animal Husbandry Department was launched in Srinagar by Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Parshottam Rupala and Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha. A-HELP is a joint mission of the Department of Animal Husbandry and Rural Development Department of Jammu and Kashmir to train the women at the village level for 14 days. It is related to the promotion of vaccination, artificial insemination programme under RGM, artificial insemination programme in small ruminants and piggery, promotion of FPOs under animal husbandry infrastructure, promotion of dairy activities, promotion of ear tagging and insurance etc. which will help the department at village levels to take care of the animals. Mobile Veterinary Unit Scheme is a mobile unit to address the animals at the village level. Any farmer can call in 1962 and give details about the diseases of animals and the department will send a team of doctors to the door step who help farmers to take care of their animals.
