A-SAT missile project began two years ago, went into “mission mode” in last six months, says DRDO Chairman

New Delhi, Mar 28 (ANI): After successfully conducting an anti-satellite (A-SAT) missile test on Wednesday, the Chairman of Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) Dr G. Satheesh Reddy revealed in an interview with ANI that the project to develop this rare missile capability was green-lit two years ago. Reddy said, “The development started couple of years back and we started the real ‘mission mode’ in last six months. About 100 scientists worked 24*7 and made it possible. Background work started two years back.”
