8th J&K UT Level Soft Tennis Championship for young athletes takes place in Srinagar

Srinagar, Feb 25 (ANI): 8th Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory (UT) Level Soft Tennis Championship for boys and girls was held in Srinagar. This championship showcased the talents of young athletes but also highlighted the growing popularity of soft tennis. It was organised by J&K Amateur Soft Tennis Association with a dual purpose to promote sport and to engage youth. Athletes from various backgrounds participated in the championship. The atmosphere also was electrifying with cheers of encouragement resonating throughout the venue, demonstrating the communal spirit that sports can generate. Notably, Soft tennis shares similarities with traditional tennis however it introduces several unique elements that set it apart. One of the most notable differences is the use of softer rubber balls, which gives the sport its name. These softer balls allow for a different style of play, emphasizing finesse over raw power.
