After Yemen, Afghanistan, Ukraine…now Sudan. India moves fast, begins large-scale rescue

Despite tough situations, Indian Govt has put in all efforts to rescue stranded Indians on foreign soil. From ‘Operation Raahat’ to ‘Operation Ganga’, Govt left no stone unturned to bring back its citizens from overseas. After several rescue missions, now India is focusing on ‘Operation Kaveri’ to bring back its citizens from war-torn Sudan. Conflict in Sudan worsening day by day as power struggle b/w Sudan's army, paramilitary group continues. However, the Indian government has ensured the safety of the Indian nationals in Sudan. On April 25, INS Sumedha with 278 people onboard, departed from Port Sudan for Jeddah Government is in touch with several nations including Saudi Arabia for the rescue operation. From children to senior citizens, efforts are being made to evacuate every citizen from conflict-hit Sudan.
