New Delhi, June 15 (ANI): The opportunities for the youth in the Army have increased triple fold following the announcement of the ‘Agnipath’ scheme by the Central Government on June 14. Addressing the model, Vice Chief of Army Staff BS Raju on June 15 in Delhi, informed that the age reduction from 32 years to 26 years to join the Army will be a huge benefit for the Indian Army. “The average age of Army soldier is approximately 32 to 33 years. With Agnipath, in around 8 to 10 years, we'll be able to lower the profile of the soldiers to approximately 26 years. It'll make Army fitter. We'll be able to handle more challenging situations in difficult areas that troops operate in,” said the Vice Chief of Army Staff.
