Ahmedabad’s iconic Patang Hotel starts revolving after four years of break
Oct 28, 2023
Ahmedabad (Gujarat), Oct 28 (ANI): Ahmedabad’s iconic Patang hotel reopened after a four-year-long break. The revolving restaurant, named after patang, remained shut for four years, initially due to COVID-19 and later due to renovation. Patang was built and opened in 1983 to coincide with India’s World Cup victory in England. The hotel is situated in close proximity to the Sabarmati riverbank and has a height of over 221 feet. The 110-seater restaurant has 21 floors and completes a rotation in about 90 minutes. It offers a 360-degree view of Ahmedabad, both the old walled city in the east and the newer areas on the west.
