Almost 1 million being evacuated as Cyclone Fani nears India

Paradip (Odisha), May 03 (ANI): People take refuge in a shelter in Paradip of Jagatsinghpur. Over 1 million people have been evacuated from vulnerable districts in last 24 hrs and about 5000 kitchens have been set to serve people in shelters. Parts of Odisha are on high alert in view of Cyclone Fani. The cyclonic storm is expected to make a landfall in the state today. NDRF and state administration officials have been put on alert to provide immediate relief in aftermath of cyclone.
