Assam: Chess Olympiad Torch Relay reaches Guwahati

Guwahati (Assam), July 10 (ANI): The Chess Olympiad Torch Relay has reached Guwahati, Assam on July 10 and on July 13 the Torch Relay will reach Dibrugarh district, informed Commerce and Industry Minister of Assam Bimal Borah. “The 44th State Olympiad tournament will be held in Mahabalipuram, Chennai from July 28 to August 10. In this connection, on June 19, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched a Torch Relay from the Red Fort. These Torch Relay will reach most of the city. It is a very happy news for the state of Assam that Torch Relay has reached Guwahati and on July 13 this Torch Relay will reach Dibrugarh,” he added. The torch will travel to 75 cities for 40 days before it culminates at Mahabalipuram in Tamil Nadu.
