Assam: Vegetable prices shoot up in Guwahati after flood

Guwahati (Assam), July 13 (ANI): Vegetable prices soared in Guwahati after flood destroyed crops spread over 2 lakh hectares. The common people are bearing the brunt of it. Prices of all the vegetables have surged in Guwahati market after the flood. “After the flood, the prices of almost all vegetables have gone up. The vegetable which was earlier Rs 20-30 per kg has now gone up to Rs 50-60 per kg,” said a buyer.
