“Blurred party lines and came here as Indian…” Kamal Haasan joins ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ in Delhi

New Delhi, Dec 24 (ANI): When it comes to country, all political party lines have to blur,. said Actor Kamal Haasan, while addressing a mass gathering at the Red Fort in Delhi. Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, along with other party leaders reached Red Fort on its 107th day of ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ on December 24. Veteran actor and Makkal Needhi Maiam President Kamal Hassan joined Congress-led Bharat Jodo Yatra. This Yatra began from Kanniyakumari on September 07 and has covered parts of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Maharashtra and Haryana. It is set to cover a distance of nearly 3,500 kilometres in 150 days. Actor Kamal Haasan said, “Many people ask me why I’m here. I’m here as an Indian. My father was a Congressman. I had various ideologies and started my own political party but when it comes to the country, all political party lines have to blur. I blurred that line and came here as Kamal Hassan, son of India.”
