With boulevard and Shikaras, scenic Wular Lake set to be developed like Dal Lake in J&K’s Bandipora

In a move to boost tourism and enhance natural beauty, Wular Conservation and Management Authority (WUCMA) is on its toes to improve Wular Lake like the famous Dal Lake’s Boulevard pattern. They set up a comprehensive plan to attract tourists and ensure the preservation of the natural beauty of the lake. Shikara boats have been installed in the style of Dal Lake and an excellent viewpoint has been constructed to view the lake. Wular Lake is one of the best destinations for visitors seeking tranquility and beauty in the heart of Kashmir. “...This is such a beautiful lake...I urge tourists to visit this place and enjoy it. Ever since a viewpoint was constructed here, the rush of tourists increased. Our employment opportunities too will further improve. I request the Tourism Department to maintain this so that the number of Shikaras increase,” said Shikara Owner.
