Breaking barriers, J-K Police opens door to knowledge with Baramulla Library for remote students

Baramulla (J-K), November 08 (ANI): Jammu and Kashmir Police in Baramulla established a Police Public Library in the Fatehgarh area of Baramulla. The Library would promote and support educational activities for the students of far-flung areas, hailing from under-privileged class. The books in the library were launched as per the needs of the students of the district after receiving feedback from the people. The library caters to the needs of all school/college going students and even the locals with varieties of books available. The community members especially, the students have shown extraordinary enthusiasm and applauded the role of Baramulla Police. Baramulla Police showed a commitment to provide benefit to the students who might not have easy access to educational resources. Amod Ashok Nagpuri, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Baramulla, while talking to ANI said, “Baramulla police has initiated a Police Public Library under the Civic Action Programme in Shri Fatehgarh in Baramulla. This library is confined to a room where we have taken feedback from the people and we have launched the books in that library as per their needs. All the basic facilities have been provided to the people and students of that area. Our motive by launching such things is to provide the youngsters and the students with the basic platforms to excel in the field of education.” A local from Baramulla district told ANI, “We are very thankful to the Police department here that they have provided us with such an amazing platform where we can freely learn without borrowing
