Srinagar (J&K), October 9 (ANI): Calligraphy recently became a new attraction as well as a passion for girls in Kashmir, and in order to promote the old and rich calligraphy and to provide a specific platform for interested candidates, the authorities of the J&K Academy of Art, Culture, and Languages organised a ten-day workshop in Kashmir Valley. The organiser of the event, Mohhamad Anwar, expressed gratitude for higher participation and said, Calligraphy is one such beautiful art that one cannot get enough of, and it’s a good thing that so many girls are participating in it. They also got to know about the basics of calligraphy rather than just learning visuals. The higher number of participants signifies that the younger generation is now taking an interest in calligraphy.”The participants also expressed joy over getting more opportunities to learn the craft. One of the participants told ANI, “We have learned a lot in the last 10 days, and it was a great opportunity. Workshops like this should be held on a regular basis.”Another participant said “We’re now expecting more of ourselves now that we’ve learned the basics. There should be more platforms like this for students who want to learn calligraphy and can even earn from this business.”
