Central, South Asian leaders to discuss Afghanistan issues in Tashkent: UN Secy-Gen’s Special Rep

Tashkent (Uzbekistan), July 16 (ANI): In an exclusive interview, Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Central, Asia Natalia Gherman told ANI that in Tashkent that the gathering of Central and South Asia leaders in Tashkent is the best answer to Afghanistan. “I believe that conference that is taking place tomorrow in Tashkent and the connectivity between central and south Asia is the best answer to your question. You would see the level of representation from central Asian leaders and from South Asian region which is very evident and speaks for itself. A number of Prime Ministers, Presidents, Foreign Ministers and other dignitaries and representatives of some international organisations will attend the event. They will share the analysis, common action and recommendation. This joint effort is the best answer with what is going on nowadays in the broader region,” said Natalia Gherman. International Conference on Central and South Asia will kicks off on July 16 in Uzbekistan’s capital Tashkent.
