Civil society plays important role in improving governance: CM Ashok Gehlot

Jaipur (Rajasthan) August 2 (ANI): A workshop was organised on Monday at Birla Auditorium in Jaipur for the purpose of sharing the benefits of the budget to the general public. In the workshop, officers of various departments discussed the implementation of budget announcements with representatives of social organisations and civil society. Mahatma Gandhi NREGA Scheme, Chief Minister Yuva Sambal Yojana, Mahatma Gandhi English Medium School, Chief Minister Free Testing and Medicine Scheme, Right to Health Bill, Chief Minister Anupriti Coaching Scheme, Chief Minister Kisan Urja Mitra Yojana, Palanhar Yojana, Indira Rasoi Yojana and other schemes were discussed with social organisations and representatives of civil society. Speaking on this occasion, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that civil society and voluntary organisations have an important role in working for the underprivileged sections of society and understanding their needs. These organisations play an important role to make government schemes more effective and useful for public welfare. Along with that, he said that civil society also helps the government to introspect and review the schemes, policies and programs of the government and help in making them better.
