CM Jairam Thakur welcomes PM Modi’s decision to choose Draupadi Murmu for Presidential Election

New Delhi, June 24 (ANI): Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jairam Thakur on June 24 welcomed the decision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to choose Draupadi Murmu for the Presidential Election. While speaking to ANI Jairam Thakur said, “It's a historic decision taken by PM Modi and our NDA allies to choose Draupadi Murmu, a tribal woman, for the top post of President. Her life was full of struggles but she overcame all that. Today her nomination was filed.” “Whatever efforts are being made by the Opposition, it is their democratic right. But a woman who comes from a tribal community is a woman, it would have been good if everyone agreed and went ahead with this decision, despite this the NDA team is organised and will win with a majority,” he added.
