CM Manik Saha inaugurates Tripura’s first gas-based tea processing centre

Durgabari (Tripura), July 11 (ANI): Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha inaugurated state’s first gas-based tea processing centre at Durgabari on July 10. “The tea industry is a major source of employment for Tripura. We are working to provide all necessary requirements to the tea cultivators in our state,” said Tripura CM. Tripura is categorised as a traditional tea-growing state with about 54 Tea Estates, 21 Tea processing factories, and more than 2,500 small tea growers, producing about 9 million kg of tea every year.
