Commercial tour of royal train ‘Palace on Wheels’ resumes

New Delhi, October 13 (ANI): The royal train 'Palace on Wheels' was flagged off for the first commercial tour from Safdarjung Railway Station in New Delhi on October 12. The train left for a seven-day tourist tour carrying 35 domestic and foreign passengers. Palace on Wheels is called the cultural ambassador of Rajasthan which is an example in the field of tourism. During the seven-day tour, this train will take tourists to the beautiful cities of Rajasthan, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Chittorgarh, Jaisalmer and Bharatpur, apart from Delhi and Agra. Modern furnishings and all the amenities for the tourists have been included in this train. This train gives a special identity to the old havelis, forts, folk arts, handicrafts and food of Rajasthan from all over the world. Tourists from all over the country and abroad get thrilled by seeing the heritage and cultural tradition of Rajasthan in this train. This train, which has been running for the last 40 years, was stopped in 2020 due to Covid. It started again after a gap of 2 years. With its resumption, the tourism sector in Rajasthan will get stronger.
