Complete Jal Jeevan Mission works on war footing: CM Gehlot

Jaipur (Rajasthan) November 17 (ANI): Despite the difficult geographical conditions of the state, the Rajasthan government is working with full commitment in completing the works of Jal Jeevan Mission. Under this, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot called a review meeting of Jal Jeevan Mission. During this, while giving top priority to the mission, the Chief Minister directed to complete the drinking water projects related to it on a war footing. He said that development of permanent water sources should be ensured while keeping quality in works, so that there would be no problem in providing drinking water in future. Along with this, the Chief Minister said that Jal Jeevan Mission is an important scheme to provide tap water to every household. Rajasthan has to be made a leading state in Jal Jeevan Mission. The concerned departments and officers should speed up the various works being conducted under the mission and complete them within the stipulated time. 10247 crore rupees have been spent by the state government since the year 2019 in Jal Jeevan Mission. Along with this, about 30 lakh families have also been benefitted. Under the mission, financial and administrative approvals have been issued for more than 39 thousand villages in the state so far. This is 99 percent of the total target of this mission.
